BESE-Approved Home Study Application Withdrawal

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) has identified your child as dually enrolled in a BESE-approved home study and the LA GATOR program. According to §4037.7(C) of ACT 1 (2024), LA GATOR participants cannot be concurrently enrolled in a home study program approved by BESE or a home study program registered with LDOE as a nonpublic school not seeking state approval.

If your child is currently enrolled in a home study program and you would like them to remain in the LA GATOR program and have access to your award, you must complete this form and attest to the program policies with your electronic signature.

NOTE:

Families will receive a denial letter via email when the withdrawal is approved, and a copy of this letter will be sent to the program administrator, Odyssey. Please keep a copy for your records. For additional questions or assistance, contact LAGATOR@la.gov.
