BESE Tuition Program for Teachers

The BESE Tuition Program for Teachers is a competitive program that provides funding for teachers to enroll in courses at regionally accredited colleges or universities in Louisiana. Teachers selected into the program will have their tuition, excluding all other fees, for a single course, paid directly to the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance by the Louisiana Department of Education.

By submitting this application, if selected, you are agreeing to the following expectations:*

Funding is awarded to selected participants for tuition only (excluding all other fees) for the approved course, for the semester indicated by the application cycle.A selected participant is responsible for all other fees and must ensure that any payment for which the participant is responsible is settled by all deadlines and requirements set forth by the institution.Approval for the program does not guarantee enrollment in a course or admission to an institution or program of study. Participants must follow the enrollment process and deadlines of the participating institution.Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be considered.Applications containing falsified information will not be considered.Funding awarded to selected participants is not transferrable to any other coursework or institution.Funding may not be transferred or deferred to a later time. If, after accepting the award, an approved teacher is unable or unwilling to participate in the course, the approved teacher must immediately notify the Louisiana Department of Education as soon as possible.If awarded, a copy of the final grades and other documentation may be requested by the BESE Tuition for Teachers Program.
